An Air India flight with 175 passengers on board experienced a mid-air emergency on Friday due to a suspected fire in the air conditioning unit. The incident led to the declaration of a full emergency at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.

Flight 807, en route from Delhi to Bangalore, was operated by an A321 aircraft. The suspected fire prompted immediate emergency response measures, including the dispatch of three fire tenders by the Delhi Fire Services. "We received a call from IGI Airport at 6:15 PM regarding a fire, and three fire tenders were pressed into service," a DFS official stated.

Despite the scare, the flight landed safely at IGI Airport at 6:38 PM. All passengers and crew members were unharmed. According to Hindustan Times, alternative arrangements were swiftly made to ensure the passengers continued their journey to Bangalore.
